Panasonic just announced that it will launch (in 2011) a massive lithium-ion storage battery capable of powering an average home for up to a week.

Keep your home wind generators and solar panels ready for this paradigm busting battery technology.

Could this announcement be the first real catalyst in jump-starting cost-effective / lifestyle-ready alternative energy use?

I would think so!  2011 is going to be a great year!
