NRC: Three Mile Island radiation not significant

Three Mile IslandThe U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission says the small amount of radiation detected at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant is not significant.

Specialist John White has told ABC News that there is no indication that radiation at the plant exceeded or even approached regulatory limits.

These type of potential accidents are the very reason that I'm very very dubious about the United States using Nuclear Power.

The bottom line is simple: An "event" can easily be catastrophic.

I agree. A nuclear reactor emergency could render hundreds or thousands of square miles of the United States uninhabitable. It's like playing with God's fire.
